Accompaniment to the Youth Welfare Office
Conversations at the Youth Welfare Office are often reported by parents as very unsatisfactory.
Fathers especially often see the Youth Welfare Offices as “maternal offices.”
Therefore, I prepare my client for discussions with the Youth Welfare Officer concerned beforehand, after which I accompany them to the appointment, and then analyse the discussions and their potential effects on further proceedings.
My presence is intended to promote balance in the discussions, to ensure that their true and essential content is also recorded and, in the case of Court proceedings, transmitted to the Court in a faithful manner.
This helps promote and preserve the needs and interests of the child affected.
